Our E-Collar Training program is best suited for dog's with minor behaviour issues such as hyper-activity, stubbornness, selective hearing, leash pulling, nipping, jumping, lack of obedience & social skills, etc.

Not only will we fine tune the general obedience on & off leash off leash of your dog, we will also correct the negative habits and behaviours your dog has developed overtime. We will solidify your dog's confidence and reliability through balanced dog training with the use of a Mini Educator E-Collar & training collar based your dog's level of leash pressure. We typically start dog's off on the E-Collar at a level 7-8 out of 100, and train them down to a 4 or 5.

Your dog will learn the following;

  • Heel On/Off Leash

  • Place (with duration & distance) 

  • Down/Stay (with duration & distance)

  • Calmness indoor & outdoors

  • Reliable Recall (with distractions anywhere)

  • Public Manners

  • Correction of Minor Behaviour Issues

Board & Train Requirements

*All board and train programs are designed for dogs 6 months and older.

*As the owner, you are required to attend 1-2 transition sessions on the last week of the board & train. Transition sessions are anywhere from 1-2 hours long.

*E-Collar Training programs are NOT for dogs with severe human or dog aggression.

8 x 1hr E-Collar Private Session Package - $1800 +HST  (TOOLS NOT PROVIDED)

This package includes 8 one hour sessions at your desired location or home. Our goal is to have your dog perform ALL commands with distractions present out in public (park preferred).

Private sessions are NOT for dogs that show any signs of serious behaviour issues (leash reactivity, fearfulness/ intense anxiety etc).

3 Week Board & Train Introductory E-Collar Package - $3,900 +HST (ALL TOOLS PROVIDED)

This is our Introductory to E-Collar Board & Train program here at Classic K9 Academy, NOT suggested for dogs with mild/minor behaviour habits. This is an Introductory program to the E-Collar, suited for those who are looking to begin their off leash journey. Not only well they learn everything listed but they will also be socialized in public and with Eddie's personal dogs to learn proper social skills & desensitization to dogs on and off leash. Everything needed to have your dog succeed is provided in the fee paid.

5 Week Board & Train E-Collar Program - $6,500 +HST (ALL TOOLS PROVIDED)

This is our MOST popular E-Collar Board & Train Program at Classic K9 Academy, suggested for dogs with mild/minor behaviour habits that need readjusting & confidence building through structure & routine.
Not only well they learn everything listed but they will also be co-existing with Eddie's personal dogs to learn proper social skills & desensitization to dogs on and off leash. Everything needed to have your dog succeed is included in the fee paid.

This is the best option through popular demand that guarantees your dog will come home a better version of themselves.

This is our complete E-Collar program that unleashes your dog's full potential and capability to be off leash anywhere & everywhere in addition to maximized socializing & desensitizing to any environment you may think of. During this program your dog will be the only board & rain client to amplify the time needed to get the reliability and comfort of your dog's potential. 

Not only well they learn everything listed but they will also be co-existing with Eddie's personal dogs to learn proper social skills & desensitization to dogs on and off leash. Everything needed to have your dog succeed is included in the fee paid.

Why Do e-collars work?

Be wary of the purely positive, positive only, or force-free trainers.  I always ask myself, what are they doing behind closed doors that their clients don’t know about?  Furthermore, being stuck in a “positive only” training method is literally only 25% of modern dog training theory. 

That means their dog training “toolbox” is four times smaller than ours at best.  If you take your car to a mechanic, do you want the mechanic to be a one-man show working out of a small toolbox from the trunk of his car?  Or, do you want the mechanic to have access to an entire garage fully stocked with all of the best tools, techniques and equipment to handle ANY job?

 We are capable and comfortable using e-collars on 8 and 9-week old puppies.  Why you ask?

A) because we know what we’re doing  B) because it’s like tickling their neck with a feather or using a gentle tap on the leash to get their attention.  It’s that mild.  We train all of our dogs on levels usually between level 4 and level 8 out of 100. It is almost unnoticeable.  We do thousands of reps of low-level e-collar training to teach your dog exactly what it is and how they have the power to turn it off whenever they want.  In the right hands, it is the most fair and effective canine training tool ever invented.
