CLASSIC
ACADEMY OF
CANINE LEARNING
"Positive Learning Methods for Dogs
and Their Family Companions"
Client Feedback and
Testimonials...
The best rewards
for dog obedience trainers at the Classic Academy of
Canine Learning, LLC are improved dog behavior, more relaxed owners, better
dog-owner relationships and happy customers --- both dog and human!
Owners develop an understanding of how their dogs think, how their dogs
communicate and how to communicate with their dogs. Our clients frequently return for new dog training
classes (and with new dogs) and refer new clients. While this speaks
strongly to our positive instructional methods, we also want you
to see testimonials first-hand from our clients:
Client Feedback

"Carole- When I think back to the beginning of February and the
relationship that Mark and I had with Gabe, I am truly amazed at the
progress we've made. Our perception of Gabe's 'aggression' had made all
three of us miserable. When I initially called you, Mark and I had all
ready talked about putting Gabe to sleep because we couldn't handle him
and didn't want to put another family or child in danger. Realizing now
that he isn't an aggressive dog, but instead, together we have some bad
habits to break, is a huge relief for both Mark and me. Although we have
more work to do, Mark and I are so grateful to you. You truly have found
your "calling" in life and we are anxious to continue training Gabe and
working through these couple remaining issues with him. He really is a
great dog and is exhibiting more self confidence and affection toward
us, which I believe to be a direct result of the training we received.
Thank you so much for all you have done. See you soon."

"Simon
was a wild and crazy guy when I adopted him from the Animal Protective
League at 7 months old. After working with Carole and enjoying basic
obedience training, and then attending advanced training, Simon is a joy
(still wild and crazy, but much easier to live with)! We have a much
stronger bond and both enjoy working in and outside of classes. We
have joined Carole and several
of her other graduates for play sessions and we are looking forward to
future learning experiences in Rally Obedience and Precision Plus (off
leash obedience). Simon is much better socialized, has learned how
to get along with other dogs (large and small), and fills me with pride
when we go for our daily walks. I highly recommend Carole's positive
approach to dog training to anyone who wants to improve their dog's
behavior and their relationship with their dog."

"I just wanted to say:
Thank You! Our Cassie is fitting in with the family quite well
thanks to you. Regina really enjoyed the classes and got a lot
out of going. I feel very comfortable referring our new puppies
that come through the clinic right to you. So I guess I really
just want to say...Thank You!"

"My
experience with Carole Lawson began almost four years
ago when I was on the verge of strangling my 1year old yellow Lab, Duke
(photo left). After a few near fatal experiences involving being dragged
into on-coming traffic as Duke took off after another dog or some
tantalizing squirrel, I decided it was time for some serious training.
When a 110 pound Labrador Retriever decides he wants to go somewhere it
takes a freight train, or a knowledgeable owner, to stop him. Past
professional training experience involving inhumane practices had
contributed to a very serious problem with our Dalmatian. This left
me feeling very leery about dog trainers in general, but I knew that I had
to do something or consider finding Duke a new home. I decided to
give Carole's program a try. I'm thrilled to say that thanks to
Carole's sensitive and humane approach to dog training, Duke is now a
prince among canines. Carole's training method of the owners,
because that what it boils down to, training people to appropriately
respond to their dog's behavior, has truly made Duke a companion pet
to be proud of. Since my initial class with Duke I have attended
numerous classes and events and I have never been
disappointed. Now just a few more sessions with my crazy 2 year old
black Lab, Darcy (photo right), and life will be perfect. Thank you,
Carole!"

Carole,
I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. Keegan and I have really
enjoyed both classes we have attended at the Academy. Not only has it
been an incredible learning experience for both of us, but it has given
Keegan and I some great time together. Also, it has been wonderful since
the learning has not been just one-sided obedience. It's great that you
incorporate lessons on dog health and owner/pet relationship issues. Both
classes have provided a well-rounded wealth of information. I wouldn't
hesitate for a second to recommend your classes to anyone. Even living as
far as do, it was always well worth the drive to come for class. Since
the spring and summer are so busy, I think we might be taking a little
break, but I think we might try the Fun 'n' Games class in the fall.
Anyway...thanks again for everything and I wish you continued success in
the future. It has been our pleasure being able to work with you.

"I have been to a number
of different obedience classes. I can honestly say that the
'special needs' class has helped me the most. One of the most
important things I learned is the importance of leadership.
I also liked the individual attention I received. Sometimes my needs
were not the same as the others in class. We were each helped on
an individual level. I was never told Rommel was bad because of
his behaviors, but I was taught how to correct them in a gentle,
humane manner. Rommel and I both learned to relax and breathe
easier. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone with a
'special needs' dog. I would even like to take this class as a
refresher course in the future!"

"Carole Lawson, in my opinion, is one of
the best dog trainers in the Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio
area. I have attended Carole's classes with my girls, and everyone
knows how I am with my girls. Carole's methods of training are
impeccable! Chloe went through Carole's special needs class a few
weeks ago and the change in her is remarkable! So if anyone in rescue
(or even if for your own dogs) needs a trainer who is compassionate,
knowledgeable and trains with love, trust and mutual respect: Check
out the Classic Academy of Canine Learning first!"

"Just
for the record, I thought you had a very pleasant way of dealing with
people in class...in fact, I thought that sometimes you were too nice
(i.e., patience of a saint). Yet, you conducted the class as a
professional who truly cares about her students learning and very
responsive to the needs of those (human and otherwise) in class. I
never felt that it was a class to take if one wasn't serious about
learning how to truly train, but yet, we had fun."

"Lizzy
is our four year old Labrador Retriever. She attended her first obedience
class with Carole when she was a year old. Lizzy found that going to
school and learning was really fun! We continued to work with
Lizzy, practicing the skills that Carole taught us, as well as
recommending the classes to other pet owners.
Lizzy has a timid personality and at three she developed some
difficulties. We decided Lizzy could use more socialization with people
and other dogs. So we enrolled her in Carole's "Special needs" course
especially for reactive dogs. Lizzy really loved going back to
school!! We were pleased to see many positive changes in Lizzy's
behavior. We enjoyed meeting the other dogs and their owners too. We felt
that we could all benefit from more classes, so we enrolled in the next
level of classes!
Carole's teaching methods make learning fun for the dogs as well as the
owners. Carole is both patient and understanding when she conducts her
classes. She is to be commended for her knowledge and experience in dog
obedience. We have found Carole's friendly and enthusiastic manner
refreshing. We highly recommend Carole Lawson and the 'Classic Academy of
Canine Learning'."
